The Sea Maiden is the protector of all sea animals and lives at the bottom of the sea. She only allowed animals to be caught by humans who showed proper respect to sea creatures.
This medicine bag necklace is made with purple/plum color polyester fabric and is 15" inches in length. There is no clasp. The necklace slips over your head.
The pouch is 2 1/2" by 2 1/2" inches. I used a turquoise mesh as an overlay to give the illusion of water. The mermaid and starfish are metal charm beads.
Dark green speciality yarn is used to create the kelp and varigated embroidery thread in orange and pink colors to make the coral.
The necklace chain, trim and "sand or gravel" at the bottom of the pouch are purple and blue seed beads.
